Prestige Holidays has further expanded its Canada team amid surging demand for travel there.
The operator said after “a year of bumper bookings” it would look to continue growing its Canada business, as well as putting on more Canada fams for agents, roadshows and promotions.
Sarah Cook has been appointed by Prestige to the newly-created role of office manager.
Her appointment follows expansion of Prestige’s Canada team to 10, with another appointment “imminent”.
“Our Canada sales really are booming, so Sarah’s arrival was much needed,” said Denise Hunt, Prestige’s Canada tour operations director.
“She is handling the day-to-day running of the office which, in turn, enables me to spend more time focusing on marketing, agency visits, fam trips and trade initiatives.”
Prestige was earlier this year crowned best tour operator at the British Annual Canada Travel Awards.
Hunn, along with Prestige’s Vikki Tindsley, recently returned from a six-day agent fam which included three nights at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto and two nights at the Lord Elgin Hotel in Ottawa. The group also enjoyed a full-day visit to Niagara Falls.
As well as the new recruits and fam trips, Prestige’s Canada team launched a new standalone website this year and also produced its biggest programme to date featured in a new look 144-page brochure.
For 2019, the team is planning several more travel agent fams as well as a series of roadshows and promotions.
