Australia’s Queensland state is set to follow in the footsteps of Sydney after it announced plans to ease its entry requirements for fully vaccinated visitors by the end of the year.
When 90% of the state’s eligible population is fully vaccinated, all restrictions on entering will be lifted for all arrivals. This target is expected to be met by the end of the year.
At 80%, Australian citizens with two jabs travelling to the state on a direct international flight will not have to self-isolate but will still need to provide evidence of a negative Covid-19 test. This target is expected to be met by 17 December.
Once 70% of people are inoculated, which is expected to be hit by 19 November, citizens can visit Queensland if they quarantine on arrival for 14 days.
