The first of TTG Media’s new Restart: Travel events is set to focus on the luxury sector.
The Restart: Travel series has been developed by TTG Media as a way of further supporting the sector as the industry starts to open up. The format of the events will combine useful seminar content followed by agent training sessions from interesting and relevant partners.
Restart: Luxury Travel is set to take place on 30 June and will be hosted by TTG Luxury editor, April Hutchinson.
The event will start with a seminar looking at how traveller desires and demands have shifted as a result of the Covid-19 crisis, and how luxury brands can adapt to meet them.
Speakers will explore the landscape for destinations, hospitality, tour operating and travel agents and include Arvind Bundhun, director of Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority; Filip Boyen, chief executive officer of Forbes Travel Guide; Erin Johnson, marketing director – Tailormade for Sovereign & Citalia; and Richard Dixon, director of Holidaysplease.
Leading suppliers from across the sector will also outline how they are preparing to welcome luxury travellers once again, and how agents can give affluent clients peace of mind, during a series of training sessions.
“I’m thrilled to be able to bring all these inspiring and desirable partners together to share with agents what’s new across their destinations, businesses and hotels in the training sessions,” said Hutchinson. “There’s no doubt people want to get travelling again – it’s now about how our hard-working industry can reassure them enough to do so.”
Restart: Luxury Travel will begin with the one-hour seminar from 9.30 on 30 June, followed by agent training sessions over the course of the morning.
“Luxury travel designers will find this a very useful morning indeed, including hearing presentations from all of our event partners, with product updates and a range of useful selling tips ensuring they’re in the best position possible to start selling again as the upturn comes,” said Hutchinson.
Over the coming weeks, the Restart: Travel series will also include Restart: UK & Ireland Holidays; Restart: Hotels & Resorts; and Restart: Cruise.
