Rush Insurance appoints two new business development execs
Gary NoakesRush Insurance has recruited two business development executives to bolster relations with agents.
Jasmine "Jazz" Preece, who has worked in Rush’s customer care centre for more than four years, takes one of the roles, with Vicky Whitehead poised to join the business next month.
Whitehead was previously business development manager at DoSomethingDifferent.com, focusing on trade relations.
Louise Bates, Rush sales and relationships director, said: “Following on from my promotion in November, the company and I have decided the time is right to increase our agent facing team to provide more support than ever to our travel trade partners.
“Jasmine and Vicky are the perfect addition to our team and I honestly cannot wait for us to get out there doing what we are good at.”
Bates added Rush had marked Random Act of Kindness Week this week, which saw her spend a day at Hays Travel’s Oldham branch.
She said: “When any customers decided to purchase travel insurance from the agent, I nipped over and told them it was RAK week and that I would love to pay for their policy.
“You can imagine their surprise and delight – of course all accepted. One customer had tears in his eyes and couldn’t believe it – he said no one ever does anything like this and asked if we were winding him up.
“His policy was £320; in total we paid £650, and it was such a lovely feeling being able to do it."
