Ryanair will launch two new routes from Scotland’s Prestwick airport this summer, and up frequency on another popular link.
Prestwick, which serves Glasgow, will gain new services to Marseille and Pisa, as well as additional Dublin flights.
The new routes will take off in April, with Ryanair proposing to operate more than 150 flights a week to/from Prestwick – 6% more than last summer.
It will base two aircraft at Prestwick this summer, operating 18 routes in total to destinations in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
Ryanair’s Prestwick operation currently supports more than 1,400 jobs locally. It is on the look out for another 200 recruits to staff its maintenance facility at Prestwick with its fleet set to grow to 600 aircraft by 2026.
