Luxury yacht line SeaDream will allow customers to cancel or postpone their booking on the day of departure free of charge, as part of a newly launched Ultimate Booking Assurance policy.
Should future government Covid restrictions prevent a customer from sailing, those who book from 22 July 2020 until 30 June 2021 will be able to choose a full cash refund or a 120% future cruise credit.
The line is also offering travellers who decide not to sail – even without any travel restrictions in place – the chance to move their cruise to another date.
The policy is not applicable on charters and does not cover air fare or hotel costs.
SeaDream was the first luxury ocean brand to resume operations last month, sailing along the Norwegian coast.
“Today we are announcing our new guarantee that will allow our guests to book without being concerned about travel restrictions,” the line said in a statement.
“We think it is wrong that our guests should take the risk and we are now taking that obstacle away.
“We trust [policy] this will give our UK guests the confidence to book their SeaDream and have a multi-award winning yacht voyage waiting for them in the future.”
