Ski Amis thanks 'loyal clients' as it ceases trading
James ChappleCatered ski chalet specialist, Ski Amis, has paid tribute to its "loyal clients" after confirming its decision to cease trading after more than 30 years.
"It is with great regret that we have taken the decision to cease trading effective from Monday 30 November," said the firm in a message posted to its website.
"We would like to thank all of our loyal clients who have chosen us to take their holidays with over the years, along with the staff who have worked hard to provide our clients with the very best holidays.
"We have tried very hard throughout this period, however, unfortunately we are left with no other alternatives but to take this very difficult step, and we are so very sorry to everybody affected."
Abtot, the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust, confirmed Time of Your Life Travel Limited, trading as Ski Amis, had gone out of business.
All bookings have been cancelled; Ski Amis has advised clients who paid by card to contact their card issuer and raise a chargeback claim. Those who paid by bank transfer should contact Abtot.
Abtot said claim submissions would open on Monday 7 December, adding that the claims process could take up to six months to complete owing to a "high volume of failures".
