Spain will reportedly not allow children aged 12-15 to enter the country if they have only had one jab, even if they have recovered from Covid-19.
The country’s government has ruled that only fully jabbed Britons will be allowed in after it classed the UK as a "high-risk" country, The Telegraph reports.
It could mean up to 2.5 million British youngsters aged 12 to 15 are barred from Spain because they are not fully vaccinated.
According to The Telegraph, 300,000 (12%) of British 12- to 15-year-olds have so far had two jabs, while half (52%) have had one dose. The rest are understood not to have had any doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
Spain will reportedly accept Covid recovery certificates for arrivals from high-risk countries who have had the virus, but not from the UK.
The UK Foreign Office said: "If you’re travelling to Spain for tourism purposes, you cannot use the UK proof of Covid-19 recovery record certifying that you have recovered from Covid-19 in the last six months."
