Gold Medal’s new managing director Simon Applebaum and Tui’s chief marketing officer Katie McAlister are amongst the latest speakers announced for TTG’s latest seminar on 1 February.
Agenda 2022: Is travel taking off again? takes place at 2pm and will feature exclusive data from PwC UK. It will also explore public appetite for travel following the easing of testing restrictions and discuss how confident industry bosses are now feeling about the year ahead.
The afternoon will begin with a session by David Trunkfield, hospitality and leisure leader at PwC UK as he reveals the findings of the latest survey exploring consumer intent as well as how travel leaders are now planning for 2022.
It will be followed by a panel discussion focusing on the all-important peaks period this year, looking at how the easing of travel restrictions impacted sales as well as travel companies’ marketing plans in January.
Industry experts including Katie McAlister, chief marketing officer, Tui UK and Ireland, Brad Bennetts; head of distribution, easyJet Holidays; and Lakh Hayer, founder of Pure Destinations, Honeymoon Dreams and Beach Weddings will also offer top tips and advice on how TTG+ members can make the most of 2022.
The seminar will conclude with an interview with Gold Medal’s new managing director Simon Applebaum, who joined the company at the end of November.
Applebaum will discuss his plans to support agents as travel takes off again in 2022, his predictions for the year ahead and how he aims to ensure Gold Medal remains front of mind for the trade this year.
A report of the PwC/TTG findings will also be sent out to all delegates following the event.
The TTG seminar series is open to all TTG+ members, with sessions available afterwards on demand.
