Mark Walter, head of UK sales at Hurtigruten, explains why the line’s team are Northern Lights experts.
The excitement of the Northern Lights is addictive. Witnessing the vibrant greens and purples dance across the sky, twisting and turning in dramatic ebbs and flows, one can’t help but be amazed.
After nearly 130 years of sailing under the Aurora Borealis, we’ve proved ourselves to be the experts. Our comfortable and intimate ships take guests away from artificial lights to snow-topped mountains providing perfect backdrops for the displays of colour and light.
Whilst onboard, there’s no need to go out in search of the lights. Guests can be on the look out on deck or in the panorama lounge, or receive announcements direct to their cabin.
The Northern Lights season runs from October to March, and we’re so confident in our ability to showcase the lights, we offer a free six- or seven-day voyage if there’s no sighting during a 12-day voyage.
Recently, we launched our Northern Lights charter season for 2023-24. With direct flights from eight regional airports included with a 12-day voyage, it’s the most convenient way to see this natural phenomenon.
These voyages start from just £1,549pp for the 2022-23 season. The Northern Lights are waiting – so get booking now!
