Diana is the line’s third state-of-the-art cruise ship and currently en route to the Mediterranean after departing Helsinki Shipyard on 31 March.
Swan Hellenic’s newest and largest ship Diana is sailing to Palermo for its inaugural cultural expedition cruise, the 10-night Mysteries of Carthage and the Moors.
The line’s third state-of-the-art expedition ship will take guests to explore locations in North Africa before crossing the Pillars of Hercules to Seville and Lisbon.
“We’re delighted to have taken delivery of this exceptionally beautiful and versatile new five-star vessel,” said Andrea Zito, CEO of Swan Hellenic.
“As the largest ship in our fleet, she is the first to be outfitted with large tender boats as well as expedition zodiacs, offering guests a wide variety of extraordinary in-depth experiences seeing what others don’t.”
Diana will depart Lisbon on 25 April for a nine-night sailing calling in Spain, France and Belgium before reaching Amsterdam, where the christening ceremony will take place on 4 May.
Diana will then cruise the Scandinavian fjords and conduct a full Arctic season.
Valerie Ann Wilson, founder and chief executive of Valerie Wilson Travel, is the vessel’s godmother.
