A claim form for Thomas Cook customers with forward bookings will be available online from the CAA in the coming week.
However, clients could have to wait up to two months for refunds due to “poor data” supplied to the CAA.
A refund form had been due to be posted online from Monday (30 September), but a CAA spokesperson said: “It’s not definitely going to be Monday, it will be in the coming week. All the information will be provided on our website.”
The form will cover Atol-protected passengers with future bookings, but the CAA warned that it could take until December for clients to retrieve their cash: “This is due to the poor quality of the Thomas Cook passenger data provided to the UK CAA,” it said.
The CAA is advising Cook clients booked through another company to contact that company directly.
