Three join Latin Routes sales team along with polar specialist
James ChappleLatin Routes has bolstered its and sister brand Polar Routes’ sales team with three new recruits following a "huge uptick in demand" in the new year as peaks enquiries soar 70% year-on-year.
Paul Mason, Lydia Groom and Sarah Slocomb have all joined the team, while Polar Routes has hired senior polar specialist Kasey Green, growing its roster of polar specialists to four.
Mason joined the operator as senior Latin travel specialist in November, bringing 10 years’ travel industry experience to the role, as well as extensive first-hand travel knowledge of Latin America.
Groom rejoins Latin Routes after a spell away from the business, which included a stint with West Country agency C The World, while Slocomb previously worked for adventure specialist Explore for more than a decade.
Green, meanwhile, previously worked for Hurtigruten, and said she was excited to "get back into all things expedition cruising".
“We’re really pleased we have been able to bring in a good calibre of travel specialists, with strong sales expertise ahead the busiest time for the industry," said business development manager Gaynor Atherton.
"It puts us in the best possible position to deal with the increase in demand as efficiently as possible."
