Gatwick is introducing three new routes for winter 2019.
Passengers will be able to fly to San Jose del Cabo in Mexico and Memmingen in Germany with Tui Airways, and Kuwait with Jazeera Airways.
This comes as the airport announces its 10 fastest growing destinations – including Shanghai and the Moroccan port city of Tangier, which have risen by 416% and 50% respectively.
Calgary in Canada also features inside the top 10, with seats up by 50%, while Jordan’s only coastal city Aqaba is up 106% and Turkey’s capital Ankara up 91%.
Destinations closer to home also feature on the list, such as Dusseldorf which increased 221%.
There is increased capacity to Budapest (up 90%), Bilbao (up 82%), Dubrovnik (up 59%) and Krakow (up 37%).
This comes as 1.2 million people travelled through Gatwick this half-term and 9.5 million seats are departing from the airport this winter.
“The appetite for new destinations and extra seats continues unabated at Gatwick, even as we near 47 million passengers annually,” said Stephen King, head of airline relations at Gatwick.
“Unveiling yet more carriers and routes this winter shows airlines are growing well as passengers respond to the new choices available.”
New flights launched earlier in the year include Miami and San Francisco in the US, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Milan Bergamo and Ancona in Italy, Asturias in Spain, and Gdansk and Cluj-Napoca in eastern Europe.
