New Covid-19 guidelines for UK passengers have been launched by an industry consortium under the banner of Travel Safe.
Travel Safe guidance will be on display at airports, ports and in travel agencies and food and drink outlets, backed by a 10-week social media campaign on Facebook and Instagram.
Advice in the form of icons, urges travellers to pre-order currency, pre-book transport or parking, check-in online and wear masks, among other precautions.
The campaign is backed by the Airport Operators Association, the UK Travel Retail Forum, Iata and Airlines UK.
Aviation minister Kelly Tolhurst said: “As people start to head off on their summer holidays, we must all adopt new ways of travelling to keep everyone safe.”
Tim Alderslade, Airlines UK chief executive said: “Passenger and colleague wellbeing, safety and assurance are key to getting aviation back on its feet. The sector has experienced unprecedented change in recent months, but through straightforward communication, such as Travel Safe, passengers are fully equipped for the ‘new normal’ travel experience.”
