TTG is thrilled to announce the return of Fairer Travel Week, in association with the Spanish Tourist Office, taking place across the first week of July.
As the world celebrates International Women’s Day, we’re proud to demonstrate how TTG will once again be celebrating and championing diversity, equity and inclusion in travel this year, while also continuing our work to campaign for sustainable travel.
The week, taking place from 3-7 July, will feature a packed agenda aimed at driving up standards and helping the industry to become kinder – and fairer – to both the environment and the people working within it.
Kicking off on 3 July, Fairer Travel Week will launch with the announcement of the new TTG 30 Under 30 programme, as we continue to celebrate the very best young people in travel.
On Tuesday, we will host the free-to-attend TTG Fairer Travel Sustainability Forum, with venue partner News UK, featuring a host of fantastic speakers designed to educate, inspire and offer practical tips for how businesses reduce their environmental impact.
On Wednesday 5 July, the TTG Fairer Travel Diversity Forum, which is also free to attend, will take place also at News UK, packed with educational and informative sessions demonstrating the business case for improving equity in travel, and how travel can be part of the change.
Thursday will feature the Sustainable Travel Showcase – an online event for travel agents, where they’ll hear about incredible experiences to recommend to clients, that just happen to be some of the most sustainable on the market.
Meanwhile on Thursday evening TTG’s famous Travel Pride™ party will take place, celebrating diversity in travel with a new raft of Travel Pride Champions set to be announced.
The week will culminate with a series of pledges from senior leaders across the industry on how they intend to commit to fairer travel, with more details to follow.
“After launching a hugely successful Fairer Travel Week in 2022 we’re delighted to announce its return with an even more exciting agenda to help educate, inform and inspire the industry,” said TTG Media CEO Daniel Pearce.
“TTG’s mission to promote Smarter Better Fairer travel has strongly resonated with our audience. As the climate emergency continues we’re proud to play our part in championing how this industry can play a role in reducing its carbon footprint, while also retaining TTG’s focus on campaigning for greater diversity, equity and inclusion in travel.”
