TTG Media was named Independent Publishing Company of the Year at the PPA Independent Publishers Awards on Friday (8 November).
The prize, judged by media leaders and one of the most prestigious in publishing, was one of four accolades TTG took home following the launch of its mission for a Smarter, Better, Fairer travel industry earlier this year.
Editor Sophie Griffiths was named Editor of the Year for the second year running, while the new-look TTG magazine was awarded Relaunch of the Year.
TTG was also highly commended in the Business Publication of the Year category on what was a spectacular afternoon of success coming almost six years to the day since TTG Media was established as an independent business in 2013.
Judges praised TTG Media for its “huge appetite for change, using bags of innovation and imagination to bring new life to a long-established brand”.
“Innovative and brave, they have invested in their people and technology, and taken all the right educated, ethical risks,” said the judges. “An outstanding and thoroughly deserving winner.”
Daniel Pearce, CEO of TTG Media, said the awards were fantastic recognition of the work that had gone into the rebrand of the business and its new purpose to promote a Smarter, Better, Fairer travel industry.
“These prizes go to everyone inside and outside of the company who has worked on the rebirth of TTG Media over the past 12 months,” he said. “We are already working on our plans to take this to the next stage.”
