TTG Media has forged a partnership with a leading sustainability consultancy in travel to help drive the business on its journey to decarbonisation.
As TTG Media’s sustainability adviser, TerraVerde will help TTG measure and declare its current carbon footprint, set a strategy to halve emissions by 2030, and advise on other matters of responsible operations.
The partnership will also see TerraVerde share best practice with TTG’s audience, contribute advice to TTG’s Sustainable Travel Heroes initiative, and assist with judging of “fairer travel” categories in The Travel Industry Awards by TTG.
TerraVerde Sustainability was founded in 2020 by Patrick Richards and Chris Fraser, who both have more than 35 years’ experience in the travel industry.
Richards spent 20 years on the executive committee at GTA and is a director of the European Tour Operators Association (Etoa), where he was chair from 2007-2014. Fraser, meanwhile, founded accommodation-only supplier HotelConnect in 1993.
TerraVerde works with travel and tourism businesses of all sizes including TMCs, hotel groups and tour operators, and offers in-depth strategic consultancy as well as a low-cost self-help tool.
