TTG Media has been shortlisted for a sustainability accolade at The Association of Women Travel Executives 2024 annual awards.
The Sustainability Award recognises an individual or organisation that has “demonstrated outstanding commitment and leadership in promoting sustainability”.
TTG Media, which appointed its first chief purpose officer and achieved B Corp Certification last year, published its first Impact Report this summer reflecting on the steps taken in 2023 to promote a smarter, better, fairer travel industry as well as outlining our goals for 2024.
Sustainability highlights over the last 12 months include the yearly TTG Sustainable Travel Heroes programme which has now established 20 Sustainable Travel Ambassadors among our travel agent readership, encouraging them to advocate using sustainability to help them sell more travel.
We also actively highlight businesses and destinations that prioritise sustainability through TTG’s annual Sustainable Travel Forum – with this year’s event at the Barbican in July seeing more than 100 attendees from across the industry.
TTG Media has also taken significant steps to reduce its own environmental footprint, publishing its own public Carbon Action Plan on its website, and becoming one of the first signatories to publishing body the PPA’s Net Zero initiative.
Other shortlisted entrants for the AWTE Sustainability Award include Fiona Jeffery OBE, ITT; Belize Tourism Board; Claire Ross, Dertour; and Carol Savage, Not in the Guidebooks.
The winners will be revealed on November 29 at the Church House, Westminster, London.
