Tui has pledged to further support its workforce by signing the Wellbeing of Women Menopause Pledge.
The pledge contains guidelines for managers and colleagues as well as access to health and wellbeing tools and was devised to help those impacted by menopause both directly and indirectly.
“The menopause impacts so many people in our organisation, from women who are experiencing symptoms to those who are trying to understand the best way to support their colleagues or family members,” said HR director Julie Tindale on Tuesday (13 June).
“We have built a strong network of over 340 colleagues who have come together to provide support to each other in the Tui Menopause Network.
“This group has been vital in driving forward the menopause awareness guidelines and giving those impacted a voice.”
Born during lockdown, Tui’s Menopause Network has led to several policy changes over the past few years – including breathable fabrics for uniforms as well as virtual GP services and open forums to discuss the impact of menopause on colleagues.
Tui is not the first company to put in place menopause-specific guidelines, as experience provider Attraction World Group launched its first menopause policy in early March.
