Tui’s plans to grow Tui Blue to more than 100 hotels by 2020 will see the brand debut in Vietnam in the spring.
Tui Blue Nam Hoi An will be Tui’s first property in Vietnam and will be aimed at European and Asian holidaymakers.
The 318-room beachfront resort will be situated on sandy Tam Tien beach on Vietnam’s central coast, near the town of Hoi An.
Guests can combine their beach retreat with a visit to Hoi An, its old town designated a Unesco World Heritage Site.
“South-east Asian destinations enable us to operate our hotels all year round, reducing our seasonal swing, and tap into new target groups,” said Sebastian Ebel, Tui Group executive member for hotels and resorts.
Tui has partnered with Asian leisure specialist TMG to deliver the project, citing the company’s “many years of experience in the tourism and hospitality sector in Asia”.
The resort is due to open in March 2020.
