Travellers who have not been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will no longer need to self-isolate on arrival in Tunisia following a further easing of the country’s entry rules.
Unvaccinated travellers will still need to show proof of a negative pre-departure Covid test, though, either a PCR test taken up to 48 hours prior to entry or a rapid lateral flow test administered no more than a day before arrival.
Travellers aged 17 and under do not need to take a test, and fully vaccinated arrivals can enter Tunisia without the need for testing or quarantine.
Officially, evidence of a hotel reservation is required to enter the country, according to the an update to the Foreign Office’s travel advice for Tunisia, so travellers are advised to make sure they have details of their accommodation to hand.
A small number of visitors who could not provide sufficient evidence of a hotel reservation have been turned away or delayed entry to Tunisia, according to the FCDO.
The body added the policy is not being applied uniformly, and in the majority of cases, an explanation of alternative accommodation arrangements will be accepted.
