Turkish Airlines’ rebranded budget carrier will be relaunched this summer and will operate "a range of services from the UK", including serving Stansted.
Ajet, formerly AnadoluJet, was established in 2008 to bolster air links with the Anatolia region and is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Turkish Airlines.
Ticket sales have now opened ahead of the airline’s first flight on 31 March.
Ajet will operate a fleet of 95 aircraft this summer, flying to 93 destinations – 41 domestic and 52 international – across 44 countries.
It is aiming to more than double the size of its fleet to 200 aircraft over the next 10 years.
Besides offering an Istanbul-Stansted service, Ajet will also expand its network to Belgrade, Ankara and Rome’s Fiumicino.
