Vertical Systems names marketing boss Ben Rodger its new MD

Rodger rejoined Vertical in March 2020 following a previous stint as marketing manager between 2009 and 2012.

In the intervening period, he held roles with several travel and tourism businesses, including Broadway Travel Group, where he was online marketing manager, and MagicBreaks, where he worked as digital marketing consultant.

In his new role, Rodger has been tasked with leading a transition at Vertical Systems to a more modular approach to ensure users benefit from "even quicker releases”.

“It’s what our customers are asking for and what agents expect,” said Rodger after his appointment was confirmed on Thursday (2 November).

In a further shake-up at Vertical Systems, business development manager Darren Manning has been promoted to director of sales, while senior software developer David Becker takes up the role of chief technical officer.

North, who was appointed MD of Vertical Systems in March 2018, left the business this week after more than 25 years, pledging to take a break to spend more time with his family before returning to the industry in the new year.
