Victoria Falls Bridge toll fee sparks agent warning

The bridge, which spans the Zambezi river, delineates the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.

It is a historic and n important road and rail connection for holidaymakers touring in the region.

The tourist authority for the Shearwater Victoria Falls has issued an urgent notice to travellers and travel agents to flag the charge.

“The owners of the Victoria Falls Bridge, jointly managed by Zambia and Zimbabwe, have introduced a toll fee for all vehicles crossing the bridge from either side... with immediate effect.

“Please note we shall, with immediate effect, pass this extra cost onto all travellers who crossing from Victoria Falls to Livingstone or from Livingstone to Victoria Falls.

“This extra cost will be automatically added onto the invoice for those crossing the bridge.

“We regret the short notice, however, we only work with what we get from the authorities and we will always strive to give you updates as soon as they come in.”
