Virgin Atlantic and AGS airports, the owner of Glasgow and Southampton airports, are set to be named as part of Boris Johnson’s "gender-balanced" line-up of business advisors for 2022.
Sky News has reportedly obtained the list of members of the prime minister’s new business council, which is expected to be published on Monday (31 January).
Half of the 28 members, which also includes Iceland, Microsoft and Octopus Energy, will be women.
The Build Back Better Council will hold regular meetings on the economy with Johnson throughout 2022.
A government spokesperson told Sky News: "The prime minister’s Build Back Better Business Council completed its 12-month term at the end of last year. The Council provided valuable insight and input into key government priorities."
