Visit Brazil Travel Association is hosting a series of events to showcase the country’s attractions amid hopes for further investment in tourism from its government.
VBRATA is hosting an October roadshow around the UK to inform agents about the best way to sell Brazil as a destination.
“In the past Brazil has not been in demand because the price was expensive,” Chris Fuzinatto, Chairman of VBRATA EUROPE, said. “But with more flights and hopefully more investment from the Brazilian government next year, people will come to Brazil.”
Confirmed exhibitors include LATAM Airlines, TAP Air Portugal, Norwegian Air, the Brazilian Tourist Board, Rio de Janeiro Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Visit Iguassu (Iguazu) Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Fuzinatto added: “Our roadshows are the most important activities to promote Brazil and Brazilian specialist suppliers to travel agents in the UK.
“This edition of the VBRATA Brazilian Roadshow, the second edition in 2019, will take place in local Brazilian restaurants, promoting Brazilian gastronomy to travel agents.”
They will take place in Manchester on 29 October, Leeds on 30 October, and Glasgow on 31 October. Although all events are currently sold out, agents can book onto the waiting list by emailing rsvp@vbrata.org.uk
