Wendy Wu's Joe Lavers joins A-Rosa as regional sales manager
Will PayneA-Rosa River Cruises UK & Ireland has recruited former Wendy Wu Tours business development manager Joe Lavers as its new regional sales manager for the south.
Prior to his role with Wendy Wu Tours, Lavers was national sales manager at Cruiseco. He will report directly to A-Rosa UK’s head of sales, Stephen Joyner.
Lavers will cover the south of England and his responsibilities will mirror those held by Sharon Wilson in the north, who was appointed in February 2022.
He will grow awareness and sales for A-Rosa through agents in the south, provide both on-the-road and virtual support to the trade in his region and train agents on the brand.
Joyner said Lavers joins the company at an "incredibly exciting" time, weeks before the launch of A-Rosa Sena in the middle of May.
"Our newly announced partnership with Aviate, which means agents can now book fully protected ATOL packages through us, has moved us up a level in terms of what we can offer the trade," he added.
"We know how important supporting them going forward will be and having Sharon and now Joe on the team means we can cover the entire country and ensure we get everyone talking about A-Rosa."
