Windstar Cruises has appointed The Cruise Line as its new general sales agent (GSA) in the UK, and tasked the team with generating new trade revenue and business.
The Cruise Line will support Windstar’s acting business development manager UK and Ireland Megan Saunders – and incumbent Anna Perrott when she returns from maternity leave – with a “targeted” sales and marketing campaign.
The firm will also aim to build new ties with the trade to drive fresh revenue and capture more market share. The new appointment is effective immediately.
Robin Maclear, managing director of The Cruise Line, said: “The Cruise Line is delighted to be acting as GSA for Windstar and developing sales through our agent network in the UK.
“With four out of six of Windstar’s ships in Europe this year, we see this as a big opportunity for agents and we look forward to developing a rapport to service their business.”
Perrott added: “We’re really excited to be working with The Cruise Line. We have enjoyed a successful relationship with them for many years, and I’m confident they can help us with our expansion plans within the UK.”
