Wizz Air claims to have given its UK cabin crew their “biggest ever pay rise”.
From 1 April, junior flight attendants with less than nine months’ service will receive a minimum £18,000, with target-related bonuses earning them up to £23,450.
Staff with more than 10 months’ service will earn a basic £20,480 and can add another £6,000 to their pay packet if they hit targets.
Senior cabin crew will receive a basic £21,887, with target earnings reaching a maximum of £33,850.
Wizz Air does not specify how targets are reached, but they are likely to be based on onboard sales.
The airline is currently recruiting for 100 roles in the UK.
Marion Geoffroy, Wizz Air UK managing director, said: “We are delighted to be offering an industry-leading remuneration package for our colleagues in the UK.
"We are thrilled that after over two years of challenging times, we are seeing a return to normality and we continue to offer even more job opportunities for all those who are looking for a really exciting and dynamic career."
