Wizz Air launches Luton-Castellon route

Twice-weekly flights to the historic city, just north of Valencia, got under way on Monday (9 December).

Wizz will operate the route on Mondays and Fridays. Flights lead in from £8.99pp.

Castellon’s heritage dates back to medieval times and is flanked on one side by one of Spain’s most mountainous regions, with sandy Mediterranean beaches the other.

According to Wizz, the city therefore makes for an idea city break, beach holiday or hiking destination.

“Boasting natural beauty, with its orange groves, surrounding mountain ranges and sandy coastline, Castellon is a destination waiting to be discovered,” said Wizz Air UK managing director Owain Jones.
