Social media agency Ginger Juice has recruited Youtravel partnerships manager Jessica Simpson to help the firm bounce back from the Covid crisis.
Simpson joins the firm, which specialises in travel, as business development manager in anticipation of a resurgence in travel demand later this year.
She will focus on new business opportunities for Ginger Juice, while also providing dedicated account management for the agency’s existing clients.
Ginger Juice said the appointment would allow it to pursue "new business opportunities within the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors".
Simpson joins after two years with Youtravel, and has previously held roles with hoppa and A2B Transfers.
Bruce Martin, Ginger Juice managing director, said: "Jessica is absolutely perfect for the role; client-focused, friendly, positive, and super-organised.
"I feel it’s the right time to invest in the future. I am very confident high-quality social media marketing will be an essential part of travel’s renaissance once lockdown is over and vaccines are rolled out – and I want to be sure we are ready for take-off."
Simpson added: "I’m really excited to be joining the Ginger Juice team at what is an important time for the company.
"I have enjoyed working with Bruce on past projects and I am impressed by the business’ plans for the future. I look forward to joining a passionate and ambitious team."
