Tourists who accessed the TripAdvisor website in 2023 placed the paradisiacal beach at the top of the ranking for the sixth time
Baía do Sancho, in Fernando de Noronha, was voted the best beach in the world for the sixth time, according to tourists. The choice was made among travellers who used the TripAdvisor website to share experiences in 2023. Located in the Fernando de Noronha National Marine Park, the paradisiacal beach was also in first place in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
In addition to its sixth-time title among TripAdvisor users, Baía do Sancho was also considered the best beach of 2023 among travellers using the website Booking.com.
A unique sun and beach destination, Baía do Sancho offers a lot of ecotourism and sustainability among its natural beauty. According to the coordinator of Nature and Special Segments at Embratur, Leonardo Persi, it is increasingly important for tourist destinations to pay attention to responsible tourism, which has the preservation of the environment as one of its focuses.

According to the current ranking of the top ten best beaches in the world by TripAdvisor, after Baía do Sancho (Brazil) are: Eagle Beach, Palm/Eagle Beach (Aruba); Cable Beach, Broome (Australia); Reynisfjara Beach, Vik (Iceland); Grace Bay Beach, Providenciales (Turks and Caicos Islands); Praia da Falésia, Olhos de Água (Portugal); Radhanagar Beach, Havelock Island (India); Spiaggia dei Conigli, Lampedusa (Islands of Sicily, Italy); Varadero Beach, Varadero (Cuba) and Ka’anapali Beach, Maui (Hawaii).
