This unique initiative will see Beachcomber host five adult travel agents and one of their children, aged between five and 11, on a memorable journey to experience first-hand the vibrant culture, idyllic landscapes and family-friendly Mauritius and Beachcomber Resorts and Hotels has to offer.

Designed to provide agents with an immersive, family-oriented perspective on what makes Mauritius an extraordinary destination for a family holiday, the new programme allows agents to gain insider knowledge from a family perspective about the resorts, their bespoke services and unparalleled experiences.

“Beachcomber Tours has always been committed to offering exceptional, personalised service to all guests, including families, which account for almost 40% of our customer base,” says Sarah Archer, UK sales manager for Beachcomber Tours.

“Our new FAM-ily Educational Experience is designed not only to give travel agents the tools they need to sell the destination, but also to showcase how Beachcomber Resorts and Hotels offer the perfect location for a family holiday."

Beachcomber has timed the trip to be as close to the school holidays as possible so as to minimise time away from school. The trip will be hosted by Beachcomber Tours’ regional sales manager Sam Orbell, who will be bringing along his son Arlo.

Agents will enjoy a customised itinerary that includes staying at three Beachcomber resorts, each of which offers its own unique charm, luxury amenities and family-focused services. Highlights of the itinerary will include:

  • Personalised resort tours: Visit Beachcomber’s five-star resorts, including the iconic Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa and the all-inclusive Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa, each offering tailor-made experiences for families.

  • Exclusive children’s activities: Kids will enjoy a range of fun and educational activities designed just for them, from interactive eco-adventures to cultural workshops, giving them a chance to learn about the island and their parent to see how the resorts interact with children.

  • Cultural immersion: Participate in curated cultural experiences, such as traditional Mauritian cooking classes, visits to local markets, and guided tours of heritage sites, to deepen their understanding of the island’s vibrant history and traditions.

  • Wellness and relaxation: Parents can unwind with indulgent spa treatments or enjoy a round of golf, while the kids explore dedicated kids’ clubs and activities at the resorts.

  • Sustainability focus: Agents and their families will also get the chance to see firsthand Beachcomber’s commitment to sustainable tourism, with visits to eco-friendly initiatives and conservation projects that we are involved in.
