Brilliant Travel, the homeworking and MSTP division of Barrhead Travel, has completed its first annual series of Regional Member Meetings.
As membership of the division continues to grow, Brilliant Travel decided to take its usual annual conference on the road as a series of “Regional Member Meetings” to deliver key business updates and catch up with individual members.
Discussions and sessions included a range of topics from providing trading and market updates to rolling out new technology and marketing materials for members to take advantage of. The meetings concluded with “round-table” style discussions where member had the opportunity to raise industry issues and share learnings with one another.
The meetings took place across the months of April and May in Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, and Birmingham. Key suppliers joined as sponsor partners and they included: If Only…; easyJet holidays; Travelsphere & Just You; Royal Caribbean; Scenic; Do Something Different; JTA; MSC Cruises, and Holiday Extras.
Linda Pyle, Director of Brilliant Travel, said:
“Strong and continuous member engagement is a top priority for us at Brilliant Travel. With a growing membership spanning the length and breadth of the UK, we decided to take our annual conference on the road to make it easier for members to join us and also to enjoy smaller focus groups and sessions.
“We’ve been working hard to deliver improvements and innovations for our members over the last year. From the expansion of our product portfolio with the launch of the USA division and our Turkey programme, to increasing the training opportunities that are available, it was a good time to take stock and get some feedback on what they’d like to see next.
“We’re a very close-knit group, so having the chance to catch up informally over dinner and drinks was great. There’s really nothing that beats face-to-face interaction.
“We’re seeing very tangible results from our efforts to bolster our membership offering. Many existing homeworkers and MSTPs continue to cite their best ever trading year with us and that’s such a joy to hear about. Some are even making plans to expand their businesses this year which we’re looking forward to supporting with.”
