Customers will be transported back to the golden age of steam on an unforgettable journey to experience the sights and sounds of a different era! It combines the historic delights of Cambridge with the charm of the 1923-built Flying Scotsman, the nation’s favourite steam train. They can sit back and relax as it meanders through the picturesque landscape of water meadows, idyllic farmland and a country park during the steam-hauled round-trip journey on the Nene Valley Railway.

There is also time to explore the university city of Cambridge, with its beautiful architecture, parks and college buildings, including the famous King’s College Chapel on the banks of the River Cam.

Claire Dutton, trade sales manager at Just Go! Holidays comments: “Our Flying Scotsman breaks are always one of our top sellers – our customers simply love the feeling of nostalgia it creates. The return of the locomotive in 2025 has only just been announced, and our team grabbed the opportunity and worked quickly get packages online so agents can promote it. However, they will need to react fast to get the message out across their various channel, as it is selling fast.”

The three-day ’Flying Scotsman Steam Train and Classic Cambridge’ break costs from £219pp, departing 28 February. The price includes return coach travel from selected pick-up points around England, two nights’ accommodation with breakfast and dinner, the train journey and free time in Cambridge.
