Holidaymakers can experience the best of the American West with Newmarket Holidays’ new 11-day escorted tour, Hollywood, Vegas, Palm Springs, and the Grand Canyon. The adventure starts in Buena Park with visits to Santa Monica’s famous pier and Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Guests then journey through the Mojave Desert to Las Vegas for dazzling nightlife, optional helicopter rides and time on the iconic Strip.

The tour continues past Hoover Dam to the rest-stop town of Seligman, where the vintage buildings include mid-20th century-style diners, a general store and gas station, before reaching Flagstaff, gateway to the stunning Grand Canyon. After exploring the canyon, travellers unwind in Palm Springs, with the option of riding the famous Aerial Tramway from the desert floor to the summit of Mt. San Jacinto Canyon in one of the world’s largest rotating tram cars. A final stop in laid-back San Diego completes the trip.

Fans of big skies and epic vistas can experience the beauty of 10 national parks with Newmarket Holidays’ new 18-day group tour, National Parks of the Great American West. Starting in San Francisco, guests explore California’s Pacific Coast, Yosemite’s waterfalls and the giant redwoods of Sequoia.

The adventure continues through the Mojave Desert to iconic locations including Death Valley and Monument Valley and then into Utah to enjoy full days exploring Bryce Canyon, Zion, Capitol Reef and Canyonlands national parks, plus the spectacular rock features of Arches National Park. The next stop is the Grand Canyon, with an optional helicopter ride over its vast expanses before the journey wraps up in Palm Springs and Hollywood.

David Sharman, Newmarket Holidays’ Chief Commercial Officer, said: "The US is consistently one of our best-selling long-haul options and, with everything from flights and accommodation to guided excursions and optional add-ons included, these new wishlist tours make it easy for agents to recommend unforgettable holidays that cover the very best of the American West, from glitzy cities to the great outdoors."
