Not in the Guidebooks, the UK’s leading B Corp certified brand for experiential, sustainable and immersive travel, has announced a number of further appointments to its trade sales team. Tracy Lote has been appointed as a new Sales Team Leader, and Vicky Lawrence and Hannah Mildenhall as additional members of its trade sales team. Tracy, Vicky and Hannah have all joined the company from Coop Holidays.

To ensure that its trade sales team is fully versed on the operator’s growing portfolio of Lapland itineraries, and to spend some time with their close partners in the destination, the business recently took the team of four away for a 5-night in-depth educational trip and ’FAM’ to experience its Lapland product and meet with partners to build on the strong partnerships that Not in the Guidebooks has within the region. During their time in Lapland, they were also able to experience the activities included in the operator’s itineraries, including husky sledding and reindeer sleigh rides.

Speaking about her experience Vicky said: “Being in Lapland made me feel like I had entered Narnia. It’s such a magical place especially when you are rushing through the crisp white snow on a snowmobile or dashing on a husky safari. The accommodations we provide are complete luxury and second to none. The trip was such a great opportunity for me to get first-hand experience of our Lapland programme and meet with many of our local hosts in person.”

Debbie Sowden, Sales Director, Not in the Guidebooks, added: “Lapland is a big destination for us and one we are keen to grow. This trip was to ensure that our trade sales team is very well-equipped to support the trade with enquiries on our experiences there."

Sowden continued: “Our customers are not only seeing Lapland as a Christmas opportunity but a great destination at other times during the year. January to March is a fantastic time to enjoy winter activities and the best time to see the Aurora Borealis whilst enjoying all the winter activities we offer, which are all great for adults and older children to enjoy.”
