Beaumier’s first Swiss hotel, Grand Hotel Belvedere, opens in December 2024 in Wengen, offering five-star luxury and unforgettable experiences.
Nestled within the Bernese Highlands, Grand Hotel Belvedere is set across two interconnected buildings that face the majestic Jungfrau summit of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Set within its own private forest, the hotel is the first five-star hotel to arrive in Wengen – a secluded car-free alpine village offering vast swathes of skiing and hiking terrain, accessible only by the historic Wengernalpbahn cog railway.
Combining the property’s Art Nouveau and Heimatstil heritage with sophisticated modernity, the property has been restored and redesigned by Complete Works Studio, and features 90 state-of-the-art rooms and suites. Two restaurants, Brasserie Belvedere and Restaurant Waldrand, will take the best of Swiss cuisine traditions and rework them with contemporary touches devised by Head Chef Will Gordon. The spa (coming early 2025) will showcase Swiss Brutalist style, and will be a serene retreat for guests to enjoy treatments designed by Susanne Kaufmann, as well as a hammam, and indoor and outdoor infinity pools overlooking the surrounding mountains.
In addition to skiing, guests will be able to explore Beaumier experiences such as guided tours, mountain e-biking and climbing, yoga, meditation and Pilates as well as live music with the hotel’s resident DJ.
