Ahead of the Adventure Travel Show, Living Media Events & The Adventure Connection launch a new trade event: "Integrating the SDGs into Travel."
On Friday 10 January the Business Design Centre, London (preceding the Adventure Travel Show), will host a new networking event from 4 - 8pm, with travel professionals invited to consider how the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be integrated across all areas of tourism.
Attendees will have the chance to share best practice, network and hear from industry leaders during presentations and panel discussions featuring experts like Mark Wright (The Adventure Connection), David Guthrie (A Tent With A View) and Charlie Cotton (eCollective), and collaborate on innovative strategies to address global challenges while driving meaningful change for local communities and destinations.
David Guthrie, co-founder of A Tent With A View in Tanzania, commented: “We are excited to be involved in this event. With many of the world’s most exciting destinations also being the most vulnerable, the travel industry is uniquely positioned to bring the SDGs to life. Despite the vital push towards net zero (SDG 13 – Climate Action), there are 16 other initiatives that demand equal focus. It’s great to see the Adventure Travel Show promoting the importance of working towards a more sustainable industry.”
The Adventure Travel Show, the UK’s leading event for adventure travel, showcases thrilling destinations and unique travel experiences. With over 75 exhibitors confirmed, the 2025 edition promises to be the largest in its 25-year history. The HX Adventure Travel Theatre, sponsored by Hurtigruten Expeditions, will feature speakers like Benedict Allen, Phoebe Smith, and Emma Thomson sharing insights on extraordinary journeys.
Katie Leigh of HX Hurtigruten Expeditions remarked: “We are thrilled to partner with the Adventure Travel Show this year – it’s always such a vibrant and valuable event for the entire industry. Whether you’re planning your own adventure or working in travel, it’s an event not to be missed.”
Complimentary trade passes are available for agents, tour operators and tourist boards. Show dates: Sat 11 January and Sun 12 January.
