The Tourism Institute of Spain (TURESPAÑA) is the national institution ascribed to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, devoted to promoting Spain as a tourist destination abroad.
Turespaña activity consists of planning, monitoring, developing and executing actions that offer each traveller personalised products and destinations, positioning the Spanish tourism brand as a leader in sustainable tourism.
Turespaña is present worldwide through a network of 33 Spanish Tourist Offices operating in 47 outbound tourist markets, grouped in eight geographical areas. These offices liaise and collaborate with travel agents, tour operators and other tourist stakeholders to support the tourism sector of the 17 autonomous communities of Spain. Main duties include tourism reports, market research, extensive B2B and B2C optimised marketing activities, as well as communication and PR actions in accordance with the tourist destinations’ operational and promotional plans.
