Limitless Travel has recorded the single biggest day of sales in its eight-year history, and has secured a key new hire in anticipation of further growth this year.
The disabled-friendly travel specialist has appointed Kate Parsons to the newly created role of financial controller "in response to the company’s growth in 2023 and forecast for 2024".
Parsons brings nearly 10 years’ accounting and bookkeeping experience to Limitless, and said the company’s purpose played a key role in her decision to join. Angus Drummond, Limitless Travel founder and chief executive, said Parsons would be heavily involved in developing strategies across the business.
"This is a newly-created role for our finance team after an excellent 2023 performance-wise," said Drummond. "And in 2024, we’ve already seen our biggest day of sales since we started more than eight years ago, so we’re very confident for another year of strong growth."
Parsons added: "Personally, it is an absolute must that I feel passionate and care about the purpose of the company I work for. There is no greater job satisfaction than knowing you are a part of something bigger, beyond just being an accountant.
"My role here has an impact on the quality of our travellers’ lives by improving how Limitless Travel operates and that drives me to work harder and do better for them, which makes living in spreadsheets so much more worthwhile."
