Top 50 - Homeworking - Not Just Travel

Bournemouth-based  Not Just Travel has grown rapidly in the past few years, styling itself as the number one homeworking agency for people who have never worked in travel – giving them full support and training to become successful entrepreneurs.

With more than 500 members, the network has seen a series of investments in technology over the past 12 months in platforms ranging from new sales analysis tool Funnelytics to its ShoutOut video creation tool, as well as new websites and its first podcast.

All new members are invited to an overseas “Millionaires Retreat” in their first year of business offering bespoke sales and marketing training, while “Elite Experiences” are on offer to more seasoned agents who are looking to take their business to the next level.

Major developments in this judging period included the launch of the first Not Just Travel Cruise Mastery Programme aiming to make its members the very best agents in the country for selling cruise. Benefits include a 12-month bespoke training programme, complimentary membership of trade body Clia and its one-week Seminars at Sea on leading cruise ships, as well  as exclusive offers from major cruise lines.

The business has a keen focus on diversity, joining the Encouraging Women in Franchising network, and pays more than just lip service to sustainability: its Climate Hero initiative engages and informs agents through regular training and updates, while also raising more than £40,000 for rewilding projects throughout the UK through £5 per traveller donations on holiday bookings.

It all adds up to an extraordinary performance during the last year, with sales and staff both doubling over the 12 months to February 2023, and 125 new franchisees joining in 2022. The focus on cruise through the new division has taken the sector’s share of company turnover from 11% to 25%, with sales continuing to rise.

With a consumer deals app imminent, the new developments just keep on coming for Not Just Travel.
