A go-getting team of 11 power the Swords Travel brand, which has its high street premises in a super-chic store in Wimbledon.
Mark and Stuart Swords are at the helm as managing director and operations and marketing director respectively, and run a tight ship. Over the past year they have utilised modern technology to provide a curated and seamless service to their customers, including a new system on which clients can make payments and view all their bookings, invoices and quotes all in one place.
In order to improve the customer experience when they reach their destination, Swords has enlisted the help of transfer supplier Rolzo, which uses real-time technology to ensure customers are collected and taken to their destination with total peace of mind.
The team won’t hesitate to go the extra mile and, in the past year, senior travel associate Carla Hutchings received a complicated request from a client requiring a holiday of only smaller, eco-friendly properties throughout their trip. She rose to the challenge and created a sustainable package that ticked all the boxes, resulting in a very happy customer.
Even mini adventurers are well catered for, with travel associate David Knight’s idea of Travel Bags of Fun for children to use on flights filled with books and toys tailored to their age.
The team continually bolster their expertise by attending educational trips, trade shows and training courses, then sharing their knowledge among colleagues. Giving back to the planet ranks highly, with head of marketing partnerships Hollie Stillion organising a beach clean-up while in Mauritius last year.
Closer to home, the team recycle in the office and are happy to hand deliver tickets to clients in the same postcode, ensuring a personal touch as well as being green.
