Mark White and his team have now made TTG’s Top 50 in five of the past eight years, and were named Wales’ top agency in 2020. This is a business with tremendous credentials.
Together, the team share around 100 years’ travel experience, and have been delighted to welcome back resident Disney expert Helen Noden, who left the industry during the pandemic, and Jess Day from maternity leave – Ocky White’s Far East, Australasia and Indian Ocean expert.
Ocky White recently invested in a new itinerary platform, allowing the team to produce detailed, visual travel plans for clients, while a new office iPad – used to highlight tours, excursions and other options – has been a big hit.
Their cosy office, fronting onto busy Bridge Street, always looks inviting; the door’s usually open, and there’s always a warm welcome.
More than 80% of clients book again with Ocky White, and the team are starting to see clients’ kids and grandkids come through the door!
The already experienced team always find time to do additional learning, and put their new-found knowledge to use. Anna Reed has just qualified as a Canada specialist, and you’ll often see reps from major travel companies in-store delivering training.
The agency is five-star rated on Facebook, with the team regularly responding to social media enquiries outside office hours. They’re available on WhatsApp too, while new starter Claire Dinwoodie-Hewer– who changed her career and joined the business after booking her wedding through Ocky White – is working to build up the agency’s TikTok presence.
The business is deeply rooted in the local community and is always keen to help young people eager to gain travel and tourism experience.
And while the team always pull out all the stops, Anna set new heights for customer service, stepping in to dog-sit (for three months!) for clients who were on the verge of cancelling their trip.
