Established in 1986, Regent Travel could be considered somewhat of an industry stalwart – longevity well earned by a team only too willing to go above and beyond to provide clients with consistently excellent customer service.
Bottles of wine are the name of the game when thanking clients for making a booking, while close relationships with a clutch of hotels enable the team to add many personalised touches to a visit, whether that’s bubbly on arrival or a complimentary room upgrade.
The team is available 24/7 too, should any complaints or issues arise in-resort. This service has seen staff working late into the night to help a client who arrived at an overbooked hotel, and on one occasion even arrange to take a customer to the passport office after they misplaced theirs.
While the colourful window display entices passers-by off the high-street, it’s the airy shop and soft furniture that keeps them comfortable in-store. Keen to make its online presence just as appealing, Regent regularly updates its Facebook page with offers, competitions and inspirational travel videos to the agency’s 1,630 followers, as well as uploading staff travel blogs on the company website.
While Regent Travel excels in hosting in-store client events, which in the past 12 months have included Australia, New Zealand, India and Africa-themed evenings, the team continues to innovate in this area.
Last November, Regent transformed the nearby Aston Marina into Stone’s “international airport”, inviting 23 suppliers and more than 500 guests to learn about the business and the holidays it sells, earning the agency a legion of new clients.
From promoting local traders throughout the year and supporting Stone’s quarterly food market by staying open to 9pm during the festivities, it’s clear that community is of vital importance to Regent Travel.
This penchant for helping others went to the next level in 2019, when the team organised a series of charity events, including a sponsored walk and in-store Halloween party, to raise more than £2,590 for the Stone Community First Responders emergency service.
