Elaine was asked by some loyal customers to organise an extra-special wedding and honeymoon experience overseas that included the couple’s best man and maid of honour. 

She did extensive research on suitable destinations for second marriages, and worked hard on an itinerary including Niagara Falls for the wedding followed by Toronto and an RV road trip. 

Four months before departure it emerged that the Toronto wedding organiser was no longer able to organise the solicitors’ services required so, not wanting to cause stress or panic, Elaine started contacting solicitors in Toronto herself. 

She subsequently became liaison between the solicitor and the Canadian authorities, taking phone calls during the night, and secured an appointment for the couple the day after arrival. 

Her clients remain unaware to this day of what happened, or that she covered all the additional costs. She also sourced a hairdresser and make-up artist for the wedding morning and booked a post-ceremony table at Table Rock House Restaurant with amazing views over the Falls. 

Everything went seamlessly on the big day, including the ceremony in the Oakes Garden Theatre, and even zip-lining in wedding attire, all arranged by Elaine!
