MICHAEL BLACKBURN, PERFECT GETAWAYS, LIVERPOOL

Colleagues said Michael is constantly looking to do good in the local community, whether that be helping elderly customers with hand delivery of tickets and travel documents or raising money for charity. Last year, he raised money for Liverpool’s Pride event and has collection boxes in-store for the local food bank, as well as at Christmas for presents for disadvantaged children in the local area.

He also recently wrote and starred in a Peter Pan pantomime in Crosby, which raised a large sum for SWAN Women’s Centre, Multiple Sclerosis Society UK & Sean’s Place, Linacre Lane.

Always coming up with fun new ways to raise money, including a sponsored leg wax in store for local children’s hospice Claire House, Michael was described by colleagues as “the most selfless, heart-warming individual you will ever meet”.
