South African Tourism chief executive Sisa Ntshona has told TTG that Cape Town is still open for business despite fears of a drought due to lack of rainfall.
In an interview with TTG editor Sophie Griffiths, Ntshona stressed that tourists were very much welcome, but urged them to be respectful of the water shortage.
“We are very much open for business when it comes to tourism and we don’t want visitors to stay away," he said. "We want tourists to be part of the solution and help."
