AE Expeditions is expanding the roles of its business development managers as it increases its focus on new international markets.
Senior business development manager Andy Tait will now help agents in the Middle East and Africa as well as Europe and the UK. He joined the two-ship expedition line in April last year.
Katie Harber was recently promoted to senior business development manager, UK and Ireland.
David Tanguay, head of global sales, said: “Our UK-based team has been an instrumental part of our success in the market by actively nurturing partnerships and building new relationships with the trade to increase AE Expeditions’ sales distribution.”
He added: “We look forward to continuing to support our UK and Ireland trade partners in 2024, with some exciting announcements in the pipeline.
“We also know there is an increasing demand for immersive, nature-focused travel globally.
“We are confident in our team’s abilities to continue to broaden the company’s horizons, increase our market share and the trade industry’s awareness of the life changing experiences we offer.”
In December, AE Expeditions announced plans to invite 60 UK and Irish agents on its ships this year as part of efforts to boost knowledge of its products among the trade.
UK managing director Jos Dewing told TTG the line would target agents who “do not sell expedition”.
